Our commitment

Crispy Burger is committed to making this website usable by every guest, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, screen magnifiers or other assistive technology. Accessibility is a baseline requirement here, not an add-on.

Standards we follow

This site is designed to meet Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, covering the four principles of perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML5 throughout — header, nav, main and footer regions that screen readers can identify and jump to.
  • A “Skip to main content” link at the top of every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation with a single Tab.
  • Every dish, store and brand image has descriptive alternative text; purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • The menu (110+ items), the store list and the brand story are all real text rather than pictures of text, so they can be enlarged, read aloud and searched.
  • All interactive elements are keyboard operable and keep a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Body text meets or exceeds the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
  • Form controls are paired with explicit labels, and errors are announced to screen readers through a live region.
  • We respect the operating system's “reduce motion” setting and disable animation when it is on.
  • Dynamic information such as prices and category counts is presented as real text, never conveyed by colour or icons alone.
  • The language switcher uses standard hreflang and lang attributes so screen readers switch pronunciation correctly.
  • Pages can be read and navigated without JavaScript; scripts are used only to enhance the experience.
